I used cargo collective

Artist Statement:My past works consisted of creating situations and illustrating how people would react and the effects it would take on society and the environment. Survival, a recurring theme in my stories. Either fictional stories or family members succumbing to betrayal for a more comfortable lifestyle. I want to mix my cartoons and illustrations with my fine art. These simplified illustrations allow me to tell taboo situations in society or extremely personal experiences that won’t be so shocking because of a cartoon buffer. I’m beginning to see how my characters are manifestations of myself and people I surround myself daily. I want to use hand drawn animation, where each frame is drawn one by one. Animation is a straightforward art form that is highly appropriate for my narratives. I would like to incorporate performance pieces with myself and other people with projections of animations on top. Much of my artwork consists of illustrations, storyboarding, and graphic novels. I create original characters and scenarios. One of my goals is to evoke curiosity on social taboos, and issues with controversial characters.

Project Proposal Draft 1:
I want to hand draw an animation. A narrative animation highlighting the pivotal moment right now. The choices i have made that will lead to either me becoming the artist I have wanted or succumb to a regular job in the work force. The story will illustrate myself at a crossroads unsure of which road to take. I stumble to the ground frustrated and am comforted by another 'me' the version of myself that comforts me in knowing that whichever road i choose I will have the support of loved ones. Hand drawn animation is a very intimate process which is perfect to show a intimate internal struggle within myself.
