Research
a.
Slinkachu or also known as Stuart Pantoll is an installation
artist/photographer who uses small miniature train set characters and alters
them physically and places them strategically in an urban environments. He was
born in the UK in 1979 and as a child his father made him play with model toy
trains and his fascination grew with the tiny figurines than the toy trains.
The ongoing series is titled Little People .His goal in his installations is to engage
the viewer to observe their surroundings closer in an urban environment . His goal is to make the viewer work hard in
locating the small figures interacting in the real world environment to so as
to touch on the topic of how lonely city life can be and that a person should
learn to enjoy their surroundings.

Path of inquiry
a.
I will be exploring hand drawn animation using
Adobe animate. Bringing to life personal stories of my family and me. I aim to
have three animations with the last one being a performance piece as well.
b.
I will be working daily in improving my
animation skills, resulting in small works.
c.
I think it will lead to me successfully
integrating concepts and ideas used in other artwork to cohesively tie my
portfolio together. I hope my animation skills will have improved.
III.
Development of thesis
a. My theses are to animate narrative stories focusing on my life. It
will be a combination of experimental works that will help me create finished
films.
IV.
Material Goal
a. The reason I choose animation as the media for telling my stories is
because the process of animating requires me to draw frame by frame which is
time consuming and delicate. It is an intimate process, which I believe is
appropriate to express intimate feelings, and emotions.
V.
Self assessment
a.
Each week I will complete a series of small works and working on a finished animation.
